Summary: The primary task at Fugro was to review the existing design system and provide meaningful documentation to guide stakeholders on the best way to utilise the assets.
As well as the UI components, the design system provides comprehensive guidance and information on best practice use, Including:
- Governance guidance
- Component tracker
- Anatomy & behaviour
- WCAG Accessibility guideance
- Contextual examples
- General dos and don’ts
- New component contribution process
The Challenge
The design system should be accessible to non Figma users as well as designers, so we needed strategy to somehow reinterpret the design system in an intuitive and practical way.
The Solution
After some product research, we established that Microsoft Loop was the perfect tool to convert the essential topics of the Figma design system documentation for the whole company to access and consume without having to use Figma.
